Wonder Wednesday: Cool Cicada!
Children, children,
What do you see?
Mom, we see a cool cicada on this park tree!
Last week on September 11, my 5 year old daughter and her friend were playing at the park playground while waiting for soccer practice to end for a few of my other children, and they spotted this cool cicada coming out of it's "skin", something that we have never seen before. We always find the "skin", but never with the cicada partially intact. A mid-morph! So cool, huh?
Have a wonder-full Wednesday!

VERY cool! Thank you for sharing this. We also see a lot of shells, but never the cicada.
I have never seen anything like this before in my whole life. Thank you so much for sharing that with us.
Can something be gross and beautiful at the same time? If so, that is it!
Cool!! I have to show this picture to my kids! They have been collecting the skins and dead cicada for weeks! I just dug up a cicada lava (still in the skin) while planting a few flowers. The way the kids acted you would have thought I found gold!! They will love to see this! Thanks for sharing!
so neat showed to my kids they loved it they just found their first live cicada this past weekend on a camping trip (they don't have them in England) My youngest thought it was ugly but my daughter held it for several minutes entranced by it:) Great photo could probably submit that to a magazine or something:)
